Main info.
The anti-spam system of Umail.NET uses "whitelist" filtering. This means that you can only receive messages from addresses that are in your contact list. The rest of the messages go to the "spam" folder automatically.
Our users get a strong spam protection this way since this policy complicates the spam-sending process and in some cases even makes it impossible (by using special settings in the Sender Policy Framework for a sender domain)

Sending Messages to the @umail.net Addresses
When sending a message to a UMail.NET user, two possible processing approaches exist:
- If the sender's address is in the recipient's address book
In this case , the message goes directly to the user’s "Inbox" folder. - If the sender's address is NOT in the recipient's address book.
the message goes to the "Spam" folder. At the same time, the sender receives a notification that his message was delivered but marked as spam and that the recipient will not read it.
One exception occurs when the message was sent as a reply to another message from a UMail.NET user; in this case, this will be delivered without any problem, even if the sender's address is not in the recipient's address book.
"Pushing" of Letters
A UMail.NET user can set up the ability to "push" the letters arriving from unknown addresses. In this case, the sender receives a notification with a link to the CAPTCHA page and, if he passes the human being test, his message will be automatically moved from the "Spam" folder to the "Inbox".
User's Personal Info Page
You can send a message to a user from his personal info page which is available at the link http://username.umail.net (username is a name that the user has indicated by signing up). This page includes a special form where the visitor can enter his message text and address, and then click the button to send. This message goes to the recipient's Inbox and adds the sender's address to his address book.
N.B:
Because umail.net uses an anti-spam system it would be better if you inform your friends by printing the address of your personal info page ( http://username.umail.net ) on your business cards or publish it on your website, instead of giving out your email address ( username@umail.net ). Sending a messages using the online form is very easy.

Aliases
Often you’re required to indicate your email address by signing up with online resources like web sites, forums and others.
It is not recommended to use your main address ( username@umail.net ), besides, it’s not even possible since you don't know the address from which you should receive a messages, therefore unable to add it to your address book.
For such scenarios, UMail.NET allows you to create disposable email addresses (or "alias") in addition to your main address ( username@umail.net ). A disposable email address has the following format: alias@username.umail.net, where "alias" is any selected prefix. All the messages sent to a disposable address go directly to your Inbox (whitelist-based filtering is not working in this case). You can easily disable or remove (dispose) such address at any time. More information about disposable addresses you can find on the "Aliases" page.
